The Department of Computer Applications organized an interdepartmental Online Quiz Competition to celebrate Google’s Birthday on 27/9/2021. Word wall net App was used to conduct the online quiz. Questions were taken based on “Know about Google on Google’s Birthday”. Around 60 participants participated from the Departments of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. And we have provided e-certificate for the Top Four winners.
The Department of Computer Applications, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organised and Brain O Vision Pvt.Ltd Organizes an International Level One Week Workshop on JAVA and Android from 20/09/2021 to 25/09/2021 in online mode. Resource Persons are from Industry. To enhance and importance of programming in JAVA and Android. More than 1000 students of various college students are registered and eagerly participated.
Workshop Curriculum:
OOPS concepts, String Handling, Collection framework, Multi threading, Exception Handling, Generics, Synchronization, Introduction to Android, Hello World app, Views and Layout (xml and Java), Example: Count App, Input Keyboard and Multiple Screens, Apps Interaction Example: Lifecycle app and Intents app.

The Resource Person was Mrs. K Jaganeshwari, Head, Assistant professor, Department of computer Applications. Participants learnt how to create websites from Google sites and to create websites with collaborators by giving another Google user edit access. They acquire hands-on experience in the Google Sites. Around 25 participants participated from the Departments of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Applications. And we have provided e-certificates for all the participants.
