Industrial Visit (2018 -2019)

An Industrial Visit has been arranged by the department to The Times of India, Sholinganallur on 20^thDecember  2018. Around 46 students from III BCA have been benefited with the knowledge about Formatting, Editing, Color Printing of newspaper through a video and  were taken to the automated publishing area to gain practical experience.

CLOUD LITERACY DAY 

The Departments of Computer Science and Computer Applications, CTTE College for Women hosted “Cloud Literacy Day” on 25/10/2018 organized by the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu. More than 100 students participated in the event which was powered by AWS Educate. The students underwent a series of challenges and earned “Cloud Inventor” badges.

CAREER GUIDANCE (2018 - 2019)

The Department of Computer Applications organized a Career Counseling Programme for final year students of BCA and Computer Science to become an effective “Entrepreneur ” on October 1, 2018 in the Seminar Hall at 11 a.m. Mr.Kamaludeen, Blue Bharath  Exim Pvt Ltd., - Managing Director & B-Accuracy Infotech-Managing Partner and CEO was the Guest Speaker of the programme. The speaker gave a clear dimension about Graduate to corporate, Corporate to Entrepreneur and also Entrepreneur to International business.

NATIONAL SEMINAR

The Departments of Computer Applications & Computer Science organized a National Seminar on “Testing and analytics” on September 06, 2018. The Resource Persons of the day was Dr.Meenakshi DSouza, Associate Professor, IIIT Bangalore and Dr.D.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, Anna University (MIT Campus) . They gave an excellent coverage on Testing of web Applications and Healthy Analytics. Nearly 350 students of CTTE College along with other college staff and students attended the Seminar

GUEST LECTURE (2018 - 2019) - “Internet of Things”

The Department of Computer Applications of C.T.T.E College organized a Guest Lecture on “Internet of Things” on August 14, 2018. The Chief Guests of the day was Mr. Saravanan, Territory Delivery Head, NIIT Limited. He gave an excellent coverage on IoT. Nearly 200 students along with the staff of department of Computer Applications & Department of Computer Science attended the Lecture.

International Workshop on Introduction to Java Server Side Scripting

An International Workshop was conducted on August 10, 2018. The students from III BCA were the participants. The Workshop Topic was Introduction to Java Server Side Scripting and it was handled by Mr.Sakthivel Selvam, Director, InfoSpring Ltd, London, United Kingdom.

 Students actively participated and enthusiastically listened the session. Individual system was given to each student for practicing the workshop. The Whole session was conducted using ICT Tools, which aids them to practice easily. At the end of the session they gave a positive feedback.

 The certificates were distributed by Dr.R.Meenakshi, Vice Principal, CTTE College for Women and by the Resource personMr.Sakthivel Selvam, Director, InfoSpring Ltd, London, United Kingdom.

Seminar on “Safety and Security of Women in Cyberspace”

The Department of Computer Applications organized a Seminar on “Safety and Security of Women in Cyberspace” on August 06, 2018. The E-Reach club was formally inaugurated by R.Meenakshi, Vice Principal, C.T.T.E College. The Resource Person of the day was Dr.M.Suriakala, Assistant Professor and Research Advisor, PG and Research Department of Computer Science, Nandanam Government Arts College (Autonomous). She gave an excellent coverage on Safety and Security of Women in Cyberspace. Nearly 200 students along with the staff of department of Computer Applications attended the Seminar.
