The
Departments of Computer Applications organized a Seminar on “Internet of Things” on January 22,
2020. The Resource Person of the day was Dr. Shanthini, Professor and Head, Department of IT at St.Peter's
University, Chennai, She gave an excellent coverage on Internet
of Things and gave examples of
objects that can fall into the scope of Internet of Things include
connected security systems, thermostats, cars, electronic appliances, lights in
household and commercial environments, alarm clocks, speaker systems, vending
machines and more. Nearly 200 students attended the Seminar.
